Actor's Toolkit is a career management platform for actors. We take your privacy seriously — your creative work, audition data, and personal information belong to you. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

When you use Actor's Toolkit, you may provide:

• Account information: your name, email address, and password.
• Career data: auditions, characters, scene preparations, rehearsals, self-tape records, goals, monologues, career credits, and training history you create.
• Preferences: theme settings, notification preferences, and onboarding choices.
• Payment information: when you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by our billing provider (Base44 Payments / Wix). We do not store your full card details on our servers.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the Actor's Toolkit service.
• To generate AI-powered insights and recommendations based on the data you enter. AI features process your data to provide personalized guidance — your data is never used to train models for other users.
• To process subscription payments and manage your Pro access.
• To send essential service communications (e.g., account verification, billing receipts).
• To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the product. We never sell your data to third parties.

Data Security

Your data is stored securely on the Base44 platform with row-level security (RLS) policies. This means only you can access your own audition, character, rehearsal, and self-tape data. Other users cannot see or access your records. AI tools operate within this same user-scoped boundary — they only read your data, never another user's.

AI and Your Data

AI features in Actor's Toolkit (such as AI Audition Coach, AI Character Coach, and AI Career Coach) use the data you've entered to provide personalized, actionable guidance. We send only the minimal context needed for each request — never your entire database. AI responses are generated based on your actual data and are never fabricated. If insufficient data is available, the AI will tell you what's missing rather than guessing.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can export a copy of your data at any time from Settings → Data. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, contact us through the Contact & Support page. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

Third-Party Services

• Base44 Payments (Wix): processes subscription payments securely. We receive confirmation of your payment but do not store your full payment card details.
• AI providers: process AI requests using minimal, user-scoped context to generate insights and recommendations.

Your Rights

• Access: you can view and export all your data from Settings → Data.
• Correction: you can edit or delete any of your data at any time within the app.
• Deletion: you can request complete account and data deletion through our contact page.
• Opt-out: you can stop using AI features at any time — they are optional and not required to use the core app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "last updated" date.
